in the last 2 years I have cycled more than 6,000 miles without any flat tires; except in the last 2 weeks I have had 2 flats. Should I switch to tubeless slicks?
As many loyal subscribers know, MP was a strong advocate for going tubeless. It provided an extremely comfortable ride with more traction particularly when using the Gravel King summer slicks. The problem, however, was @ the low PSI of tubeless tires the tires would pick ALL of the debris on the City streets which resulted in numerous flats. Alias, MP is now back to tubes. Per the recommendation of ADAM @ PEDAL TO THE PEOPLE, MP now endorses PANARCER TSERV w/ BELT for all City and crush stone riding. They are light, strong and have a ProTite belt for additional puncture protection. The ride has more vibrations but NO FLATS! Play List recommendation: GOOD VIBRATIONS by The Beach Boys. Hope this helps, cash appreciated- now go R,R&R!
